SamTrans can be your gondolier to Festa Italiana, an Italian street festival, in downtown San Mateo Sunday, July 26. The festival area is served by Routes 390 and 391, which run along El Camino Real and by Routes 250 and 292, which stop at the San Mateo Caltrain Station.

More than 50,000 people are expected to attend the event, which kicks off with a parade at 10 a.m., followed by a Bocce Ball Tournament, a classic car show, a chalk art display, children’s carnival and nearly 200 arts and crafts booths and food vendors. The fair runs along North B Street between Tilton and Second avenues. Proceeds from the event benefit the non-profit Festa Foundation, which supports children and adults with developmental disabilities.
