The San Mateo County Transit District places adcards on SamTrans buses and Caltrain train cars for the purpose of promoting non-profit organizations and co-sponsorships with outside agencies and firms. The following policy has been established to inform and assist you with the process.

Participation is limited to non-profit organizations as determined by the Federal Internal Revenue Code and parties involved in promotion with SamTrans or Caltrain.

• Cards will be posted for a minimum of 30 days and a maximum of 90 days. There is a $50 posting fee per transit agency required before posting.
• The following are not permitted: advertising promoting political candidates or issues; cards with detachments or “tear-aways”.
• All adcard copy and design must be approved prior to printing by the Transit District’s Supervisor of Sales and Promotions.
• Unless otherwise determined, all printing costs are the responsibility of the outside agency or firm.
• The Transit District reserves the right to alter this policy as required.

The following specifications cannot be altered without the written approval of the Supervisor of Sales and Promotions:

• Size: 11” high x 28” wide
• Paper Stock: 24 point cover-board
• Quantity: SamTrans, 350 / Caltrain, 125
